TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES

Article 1 - Team Requirements

Each team must have the minimum amount of players necessary on their roster and be registered as a team by the predetermined entry deadline. Additions and/or changes on rosters will not be permitted under any circumstance after the entry deadline. Identification for each player (e.g. birth certificate, drivers license, other photo ID, etc.) is required at on-site registration to verify information provided on the original team roster, ID bracelets for players would be issued at that time. The ID bracelet must be worn at all times to participate in the tournament. Players must be prepared to show identification throughout the tournament. If a player's personal information listed on the team application is inaccurate (e.g. age, name), the player will be eliminated from participation in the tournament. Discovery at any time after registration of the player in question may also result in elimination of the whole team from further competition. Teams must wear proper soccer uniforms with a distinctive color. Be accurate!!! - Player's information will be checked at on-site registration. Providing false/inaccurate information will disqualify your team.

Article 2 - Team Conduct

The organizers have the final word in matters of the tournament's organization and implementation. The officiating referees have the final word pertaining to any matters concerning the games themselves. Any conduct unbecoming to the positive focus of the Tournament, especially profane language, unnecessary roughness, non-conformity to the authority of the referees, and any general unsportsmanlike behavior, will not be tolerated in any measure and may be dealt with as is seen fit by the organizers. The organizers reserve the right to take any actions to ensure that this tournament will not be hindered by disciplinary problems.

Article 3 - Team Refunds

30+ days before event = 100% refund

29 days or less before event = No refund

Canceled event due to adverse weather conditions = Max. 25% of registration fee

Rescheduled event due to adverse weather conditions = No refund

Article 4 - Registration/Team Roster

Participation fees must be paid in full by October 9th, 2004.

If payment not received in full by October 9th, 2004, a 20% late payment fee will be added to the registration fee.

Article 5 - Registration/Team Roster

Teams must consist of 11 to 20 players. Before you register your team, please have the following information ready:

  • Team Name
  • Team Colors
  • Team City
  • Team State
  • Credit Card Information

For each of your team members (including the captain):

  • Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Playing Experience
  • Phone
  • Email Address

Final rosters must be completed 2 weeks prior to event.

No player can be added once the first game has begun.

Any player found ineligible will be banned from further participation and any games that have been played by such player(s) will be forfeited.

Article 6 - Participant Requirements

Players may appear on only 1 team roster. Any player appearing on more than 1 team roster will be automatically disqualified from participation.

Any person currently playing professional soccer - MLS, NPSL, WUSA, USL, A-League, D3, PDL, Romanian Div. A, B, etc. - is banned from participating in the Tournament.

All team participants MUST be present at on-site registration the morning of the tournament. Failure to show will result in disqualification of player.

Participants also understand that their involvement in the tournament is at their own risk, and they will give up the right to hold the organizers or the owner of the property on which the tournament will be held responsible or liable for any injuries, damages, or other such problems that may occur during the tournament.

Participants will take full responsibility for their actions while participating in the tournament and will be accountable for any damages that they may cause due to lack of self-control.

Participants must adhere to the tournament guidelines or face disciplinary action including, but not limited to, disqualification.

Article 7 - Discipline

2 yellow cards during one game - ejection from game and suspension from next game.

2 yellow cards during two different games - suspension from next game

1 red card - ejection from game and suspension from next game.

2 red cards - suspension from tournament (greater punishment can be assessed, at the discretion of the tournament administration, depending upon the severity of the offense).

Article 8 - Injuries, Damage, Theft or Loss

The Tournament, the facility, sponsors or any authorized representative, agent or employee of these shall not be responsible for any expense incurred by any team if the event is canceled or rescheduled in whole or in part or for any liability in connection with the event for personal injury or property loss in connection with traveling to, participating in, or traveling home from the event. Each team, player, coach or fan shall participate at his or her own risk.

Article 9 - Equipment

Participants must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to himself or another player (including any kind of jewelry).

Participants must wear basic required equipment: a jersey or shirt; shorts - if thermal under shorts are worn, they are of the same main color as the shorts; stockings; shin guards; and footwear.

Shin guards - are covered entirely by the stockings, are made of a suitable material (rubber, plastic, or similar substances), and provide a reasonable degree of protection.

Goalkeepers - each goalkeeper wears colors that distinguish him from the other players, the referee and the assistant referees, and must wear protective gloves.

Article 10 - Facility Rules

Smoking not permitted.

Consumption of alcohol not permitted.

Consumption of drugs not permitted.

Changing of clothes is ONLY permitted in designated areas.

Article 11 - Game Structure and Scheduling

Game schedules will be posted one hour prior to on-site registration.

All games will begin as scheduled.

Both teams will warm-up 5 minutes prior to the start of the game.

Only teams scheduled to play are allowed to occupy the field.

All teams will be scheduled for a minimum of 4 games.

All preliminary and playoff games are composed of two 25 minute halves and a 5 minute halftime break.

The final game is composed of two 30 minute halves and a 10 minute halftime break.

3 points are awarded for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss in preliminary play.

Ties will only be issued in preliminary play.

If a team fails to show for a scheduled game the opposing team will be issued a 3-0 win.

The 2 top teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs.

Points; direct game result; goal difference; number of goals scored and drawing will be used to calculate the group standings.

Playoffs are single elimination.

Playoff games ending in a tie will proceed as follows:

  • A. 5-minute sudden death period
  • B. If still tied, teams will play a second 5-minute sudden death period
  • C. If game remains tied, a penalty shoot-out will determine the winner

Other FIFA rules and regulations will be governing the tournament.

Article 12 - Trophies and Awards

Trophies for the top 3 teams and other awards will be issued at the closing ceremony following the final game.
